WebLoginPE just imploded on one of my sites about an hour ago (summerhilll.bc.ca). Now I’m getting non stop parse errors.

When attempting to login through firefox the page refreshes, login fails, and WebLoginPE spits out this default garbage

When attempting to login through Safari, I get the following parse error.

    « MODx Parse Error »

MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »

    PHP error debug
Error: session_destroy() [function.session-destroy]: Trying to destroy uninitialized session
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /nfs/c04/h04/mnt/67311/domains/summerhill.bc.ca/html/assets/snippets/webloginpe/webloginpe.class.php
    Line: 2291
    Line 2291 source: session_destroy();

    Parser timing
    MySQL: 0.0442 s (20 Requests)
    PHP: 0.1204 s
    Total: 0.1646 s

I made no changes inside the manager to cause this, though my logs are showing a but load of "out of memory" parse errors over the past couple weeks, almost daily, for isolated periods of about an hour or less. These errors were determined a while back to be due to my MediaTemple (gs) hosting. That said, these "out of memory" errors are not happening at the moment, and this WebLoginPE malfunction is absolutely critical. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, clear the site cache, and get a better host. Sounds like your site is getting too busy for the one it’s on.

you are totally right. I did those things, but it wasn’t reading like a server error, now i just got a bunch more "out of memory" parse errors. calling my host. gonna switch off the BS immediately.

warning: MT (gs) + MODx blows donkeys !

that said their support is solid so i think i’m just gonna switch to their (dv) for the time being.

got any suggestions for the best MODx web host. something friendly for rebilling and rebranding to my clients smiley

You can find some great suggestions here: http://modxcms.com/community/partners/hosting.html

Personally I have had good luck with Wiredtree

wasn’t really digging the suggestions listed on that page, but WiredTree looks DAMN slick. How’s your experience with their "Grove Client Portal" ? Does it offer billing management or do you use CPanel for that ?

I actually use whmcs to handle all the client interactions ($10/m). Grove is your area to communicate with support, manage your account and such. The client has no need to access grove unless they are paying your bill smiley

Oh, if you don’t already have a domain registrar get a one month license from whmcs direct and you can get an enom account free. I think it’s like $900 something value or what not. See their forums for details on that. It ties in nicely with whmcs and does all domain and ssl management for you.

Anyways, back to the host I’m coming up on one year with them and looking forward to a second great year. Support is very fast to respond, typically I see a reply within 3-5 mins and by 10 mins I start to worry, but then again I always use low priority tickets...

If you shoot me an email I think I have a 10% code floating around (username)at gmail not sure if it’s still good tho...
