When I go through the pages of my site, I notice that the title in the browser (IE in this case) is the url rather than the page description. For example, instead of it reading something like ’Taking out line guide service homepage’ it reads ’http://www.massflyfishing.com/cms/’. Where can I edit this info?

That’s in your template. In the HTML head, it’s whatever you put in the <title>...</title> tags. Usually it should have something like [(site_name)] - [*longtitle*] or whatever other variables you want it to display.

Actually on looking at your site, what you said you want is exactly what I get.

If I open my site in Internet Explorer in the very top of the browser window I see http://www.massflyfishing.com/cms... I want to have it read Welcome to Taking Out Line ...
I looked at some other websites that use MODX. For example this site http://www.gettemplate.com/ instead of seeing http://www.getteplate.com you see ’Web templates, XHTML slicing and custoem web development’
How can this be achieved so the each page has a unique tag?

Have you validated your HTML? The only thing I can think of is there may be an HTML error that Firefox is forgiving, but IE is not.

On your home page, I get "Home - Taking Out Line Guide Service". However, on viewing the source, I see that your description meta tag contains quote marks. This may be causing IE to skip the Title tags altogether.

Thank you - I’m getting a lot of validation errors after I save content in the TINYmce editor. For example it changes <p> tags to <P> and
tags to <BR>. This shows up and I have no idea where it came from <quickedit:content />. Every url I add the editor adds mce_href. Lower case html gets formatted to uppercase. How can I fix this
