    Hi,

I need your advice concerning deployment of templates.

I was wondering which the best way to put some demos on my site and being able to easily migrate the demo sites.

    My idea is :

    • putting subfolders at the root of my site, with the minimally required MODx-like structure to store all necessary files, so that I can match the subsite structure with MODx file tree when exporting a demo to a production site.

    • using a chunk to store the "root" of the demo subsite. (This chunk would be made empty on the production site.)
    • using a category for each demo site, with hope to extract the data relative to it more easily when exporting records from the database.

Is this a correct approach of should I better make multiple setups of MODx and use different table prefixes ?

I already asked the French part of the forum but could not get any answer yet.

    Thanks.
