change the minimum number of password characters (web users, manager users)

Hi,

I’m implementing a website for a client that would like all passwords to have a minimum of 8 characters instead of the default 6. It needs to be done for all manager users and web users aswell. Please, can anyone give a hint where in the source code can I change this "6 chars minimum" setting? I found something in document.parser.class.inc.php at line 2102, function changeWebUserPassword, but when I change this:

if (strlen($newPwd) < 6) {
return "Password is too short!";
}

to this:
if (strlen($newPwd) < {
return "Password is too short!";
}

...it has no effect. Anyway I guess that would work only when changing the actual password, but what I need is to restrict a minimum of 8 chars also when new manager or web users are created.

Your help will be appreciated.

For manager users, line 127 of manager/processors/save_user.processor.php

For web users, line 106 of manager/processors/save_web_user.processor.php

It should be noted here that the error messages are hard-coded in English (as of 1.0 ver.5439 from svn).

save_user.processor.php line 128 and line 250

Sure I can do it. I went to this page:

and clicked on the "Create a new issue in project MODx CMF" link. Should I submit the ticket there under "New feature" ? Or is is better if I place it under Evolution or Revolution?

Yes, create it there under New Feature and select both 1.0 (Evolution) and 2.0 (Revolution).

Hey All... Does anyone know how to do this in the latest version of Revo? It seems those files are not there.
