    Hi Folks,

I’ve installed MODx 0.9.6.3 on my client’s webspace. The installation seems to have worked fine but when I go to mydomain.com/manager I get all the files and folders listed within the manager folder then I have to click on index.php to login. Similarly, once I’m logged into the manager and click ’Save’ the page refreshes and takes me back to the directory structure of the manager folder and I have to click on index.php to get into the manager again.

I’ve never had this problem before...any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Danny

What server is this on? IIS? Apache? This can be solved with a DirectoryIndex entry in the .htaccess file if it’s Apache.

      http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_dir.html#directoryindex

I probably don’t need to tell you that having auto-indexing on like that is very bad for security.

Thanks....I added DirectoryIndex index.php to the htaccess file and it seemed to do the trick. Will try to turn off auto indexing with the host.

        Thanks for your time!
