Remove ID from Widget HTML Generic Tag

Hi,

I’m using the HTML Generic Tag Widget to produce a <UL><LI> list from selected Input Options within my TV. However as the page used to list child nodes presents more than one node (using Ditto) the ID tags assigned by the HTML Generic Tag Widget tags are flagged as errors due to duplicate IDs within the same document.

Is there a way to disable the HTML Generic Tag Widget from automatically assigning IDs to my selected input Options?

Doesn’t look like it. An ID is hard-coded into the output widget. I would recommend creating your own TV handler snippet rather than hacking the core file to prevent it. Personally, I haven’t used the output widgets for years; they just aren’t flexible enough for my taste.

wouldn’t it make sense to change that for future releases? multiple IDs aren’t valid HTML
