When I enter html in the text editor (the icon the says ’html’) and add my html code, it changes after I update. For example I have a <br clear="left" /> tag in the html. When I save it and then reopen the html the tag is changed to
. Anyone know how to fix this?

In the configuration of TinyMCE plugin you’ll find a "cleanup" parameter. This cleans the code. Turn it to disabled.
Where would I find the ’clean up’ parameter in TinyMCE?

Edit the TinyMCE plugin, and in the Configuration tab you’ll see the options.
I’m not sure where to go to edit the plugin - I don’t want to mess anything up. How do i actually get into the plugin to edit it?

In the Manager, it’s Resources -> Manage Resources, the Plugins tab, then click the link for TinyMCE in the list of installed plugins. Go to the Configuration tab, and scroll down a bit. You’ll see the list of options, including the "cleanup" option (enabled/disabled).
