    Hey all,

I am working on a tutorial site for MODx (modxtuts.com) and I’m running into a small snag. I can’t figure out how to make it not evaulate the snippet calls that I’m trying to describe. For example, I’m working on a big post about how to work with Wayfinder,

I know this has got to be something simple, but I’m obviously overlooking it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

Fake it. Write the snippet calls like [<!-- -->[ ... only problem is that it probably copy/pastes that way.

Someone made a plugin to do this too, but I can’t seem to find it. The plugin basically turns off the parser for anything inside specific tags.

You can use ASCII Code for the tags and they will not get parsed (at least this is my experience). I recently did a snippet that created a snippet call for the client to then copy paste into his document. By using &#91;&#91;SnippetName? &id=`xx`&#93;&#93; to output [[SnippetName? &id=`xx`]] it worked great.

There is also the NotParseMODXTags plug-in that will automatically change the tags in a <pre> block.

I am also working on some modx tutorials for an upcoming site..I better get to it before the competition get the edge  grin grin

Thanks guys for the rapid answers!

I had done a quick search through the repository but obviously wasn’t doing the right search. smiley

And the ASCII codes - that was a definite brain fart on my part.

          Thanks so much guys.
