Friendly URLs and path problems. (AjaxSearch, TVTagCloud)

I recently setup friendly urls with no real issue however I’ve noticed I’m getting file path problems with a few snippets for example if I perform a search on the following pages I get the following results:

http://mysite.com/journal.html - All works perfectly
http://mysite.com/journal/article.html - Clicking search reloads the page as http://mysite.com/journal/journal/article.html causing a 404.

TVTagCloud is similar:

http://mysite.com/journal.html - Clicking a tag takes me to http://mysite.com/tag-landing-page.html - Correct
http://mysite.com/journal/article.html - Clicking a tag takes me to http://mysite.com/journal/tag-landing-page.html causing a 404 despite the fact that this page is determined by it’s id not name.

I guess it’s something to do with .htaccess, what am I missing?

Base tag in document’s template head?

Hmm, thanks for the suggestion, that would no doubt fix the issue but it’ll play havoc with my anchor links of which I have a few.

I can fix TVTagCloud just by editing the output HTML in the snippit, but I have no idea about AjaxSearch. it seems far from ideal to have to edit snippets to get them to recognize the site structure though. Any other thoughts?

Popped this on my anchors:

[(site_url)][~[*id*]~]#anchor

Does the trick.
