Despite not being a designer or developer (I’m a copywriter/PR manager) I’ve created a number of basic commercial and personal sites using Modx. I have never created a blog.
I am a keen traveller and would like to post my experiences in a blog (which i use as a testing ground).
I have followed the tutorial in the wiki but have a number of questions that searching the forums has not answered fully.
1) Isn’t Newspublisher depreciated? Should I be using FDM instead?
2) How do you create your blog pages? In the manager or in the front end?
3) If using the front end, how do you hide the ’Add blog entry’ page from regular visitors?
4) I would want all new blog pages to have a maxigallery call - how would i implement this? New template?
5) I would want to link together some articles, i.e all new articles about Sweden, should appear under that folder, how would i achieve this through the front end?

Don’t know how much Newspublisher has depreciated over the years, but it is deprecated
I use the back end for creating the pages. I’ll just duplicate an existing page, then use QuickEdit to actually edit the new page. I’ve often wished that QuickEdit had a "Duplicate This Page" button!
You might find my "posting by email" interesting.
