    Hi there,

I recently moved/upgraded MODx 0.9.2 (Hosted on IIS and running on Windows Server 2003)
to MODx 0.9.3 running on Windows Server 2003 64bit Edition.

The above was painful beyond belief....and has been the subject of many a rant and blog post. If anyone needs info on migrating MODx to Win server 2003 64bit drop me a line!

With that done I have just one problem, no tinyMCE!?!
The editor does not load, whats more when you go to Configuration -> Interfaces and Files the "Editor to use:" dropdown only has one option = none.

Any idea why an upgrade would knock the editor out, or how I would go about fixing this issue?

    Cheers,

    Justin.

Do you mean 0.9.3 or 0.9.6.3?

Maybe you are better of reinstalling TnyMCE anyway since IIRC a new version is out...but don’t have a specific answer to your question though wink

How do I re-install tinyMCE, I thought it was integrated into MODx?
I guess I could try dumping up the resource folder again to see if that fixes things...

TinyMCE is a plugin; it’s in the assets/plugins folder.

                Hey guys,

So I deleted the tinyMCE folder in the plugins, and I re-uploaded a fresh copy.
I did not however that there were 2 different versions of MCE in there? This could be as I upgraded?
So I deleted both and put the most recent back.

In configuration however the editor to use still reads: none?
I assume MODx scans the plugins folder for available plugins?

                Thanks

                J

Hmmm, seems you did not the instructions for installing it? There are no automatic installations in evo/0.9.6.3...you need to install it like any other plugin.

                  cheers/k

Actually, the TinyMCE upgrades in the Extras repository is auto-installing; you need to upload the files to your server, including the Install folder, and run the installer.
