Has anyone written a plugin, that appears in the front-end like Quickedit, to give logged in manager users the ability to create new documents that would be children of the document being viewed?

I’m using 0.9.6.3. If the answer is ’no’ I’ll be writing one, if ’yes’, info will be gratefully receieved!

        I’ll take a look!

        thanks,
        Tim.

Edit: Actually it looks like it does the job, and probably much more! Slightly put off security-wise by this as I’m only intending this for manager users. Also it is still just 0.1, though maybe the coder is just being very modest!

Have you seen X Edit ?
Doesn’t do new documents as yet, but might give you some food for thought wink

            Interesting indeed.

I think I’ll probaby end up writing a simple plugin myself for the original question (and I think I’ll make the template selection automated so clients don’t have to worry about that bit), but both your pointers are things I will be looking at with other projects in mind.

            thanks,
            Tim.

                  For info, QuickManager+ solved this.

One point... It uses Thickbox, a jquery plugin. However because the current version of Thickbox is coded using $, not jQuery, this won’t work if you own code includes jQuery.noConflict(). The workaround is to simply replace $ with jQuery in the Thickbox file - or just download the attachment here.

                  thanks,
