Template variables being populated on first page save

Hi,

I am having a problem where on all my template I have a template variable called relatedLinks.

The idea is that on this page I put a list of links in the rich text area. When I create a new page and save it, leaving this field blank, it then some how adds 2 or 3 links to the page.

I moved from a custom CMS to MODx and built a migration script to move data accross and replace all old links such as default.asp?id=374027374, which the id being the old page id, to /redirect?id=374027374.

These URL’s where only rewritten once by my migration module, which is now disabled. However the new links in the relatedLink TV all have this link format with /redirect in the HREF.

Has anyone come accross a similar problem with TV’s?

What is the default value in the TV itself (not in the fields for individual documents)
