Problem with Fav icon

    I have added favicon in my website with the below code
    <link rel="icon" type="image/jpg" href="assets/templates/default/imagesModified/favicon.jpg" />

    The problem is,it works well in Mozilla but it doesn’t in IE,Can anybody guide me how to solve this..

      The safest way to insure your favicon works with IE is to convert it to a Windows .ico image and keep it in your web root. Just one more way that IE can be a bloody nuisance.
