    Hi again,

I have a question about Quick Edit in FireFox.

    First the basics:
Origianl code used for template created in SiteSpinner 2.

Displays properly in FireFox 3.0.10 as seen here

After switching out the two text areas to [*#content*] and [*#column2*] to be used in Quick Editor I have the following problem.

Both areas are editable via QuickEditor BUT while the content field remains correctly formatted in FF the column2 area changes it’s position on the page, which also effects the graphic below it, as seen here:

Is this an issue with my CSS (unchanged), QuickEditor or the TV.

All works fine in IE7/IE8 although the QuickEditor itself is somewhat wonky with them...

    Input, ideas suggestions?

RichTextEditor is messing with your markup I think.

That is my overall take as well... although only in FF...

My next question is.. Is it the editor itself... will FCKeditor NOT cause this to happen? I thought TinyMCE wouldn’t but.. well.. yeah.. here we are.

Bascially RTEs re-write your code to do their own stuff which sometimes just of no use. I never use RTE.

You can look into TinyMCE configuration if code cleanup options are enabled. Those options are self explanatory so you will know when you will look at them.

The issue was that the RTE item touched the graphic in layout... so that when the editor came in with it’s markup it essentially "bumped" the graphic when read by FF.

One small task down... who knows how many to go...

            Love in it.
