There doesn’t seem to be any "friendly" error handling when using the db api functions to run a query. One gets the "MODX Parse Error page" with the sql errors. I’m using 9.6.3. Is there a way to provide feedback to the user in a more friendly way?

Unfortunately, PHP4 doesn’t have much in the way of exception handling and the DbAPI is PHP4 compatible.
It would be nice if the docID from where the error occured could be shown in system events log...
