    Hi all,

I read some posts about prodcuts/e-commerce catalog, but still, I can’t understand the best way of implementing it with MODx.
Let’s say I have a: category -> subcategories -> product, I need the end user (web user) to add each of these items. In front end (web site) I show a

    - 1) category page with list of subcategories
    - 2) subcategory page with list of products
    - 3) the product page - detail

To design the above schema in the "traditional" manner I would create 3 pages. Entities mapped to DB schema are:

    Category,
    SubCategory
    Product

(it could be also the same without SubCategory if people use a hierarchical table)

How can I set this with MODx? I read something about the Ditto snippet but I can’t understand why should I create documents under the parent page of the main page Category (in my case).
If user create a Product, that is a form with properties and, let’s say, an image from where to start adding a new product? Should I create a new document?
I’m thinking at a table listing products, grouped by categories, from which end user can add a new product.

Well... sorry for the long post, hope it’s clear!

    Thanx a lot

    Matteo
