You can specify the prefix during installation. After installation, you would need to edit every table in the database, and the config.inc.php file.

Thanks sott!! Can i ask you another one:

Is event_log table important? Because my host has an limit on 8,192KiB for uploading, and event_log is one mammoth table. Right now i have just made an copy of the table from a default install, and inserted it in my db.

You can empty that table before doing a backup :
Reports => System Events => Clear Log
But for your new install it can be empty or have the data from the default install.

Ok thanks! Were a bit nervous about it wink

Think everything is working! I duplicated my modx on the same server and renamed it to a new project.

All that table does is store error messages; it’s useful (sort of) for debugging. I check all the sites I’m responsible for once a month and clear the System Events log and the Manager Actions log.
