I installed MaxiGallery to my ModX snippets, and managed to implent it on my site. But that’s when I figured the folders and files wouldn’t change permissions through my FTP software. I wasn’t able to change the folder /assets/galleries/, resulting in me not being able to upload files.

I also realized that then I hadn’t been able to change file permissions on the cache, images and the export folder. Didn’t even get to change the CHMOD on config.ini file until I found a PHP script solution in another thread on the forums, but that was only working for files.

I’ve tried using the file manager config to change permissions on uploaded files and such, but I can’t even use the File manager to explore the folders on ModX because it says I don’t have permissions. Please, any help would be appreciated.

How can I change the folders’ CHMOD?
The server my host is on is Windows 2003.

    Thanks. smiley

check how to do that with your ftp client. if that fails see if the hosting control panel they use have it’s own file manager that will allow you to CHMOD.

File permissions on Windows servers can be difficult. Your FTP client won’t help you. If your domain’s control panel doesn’t have a file permissions feature, you’ll have to talk to your hosting provider.
