So I’ve got a site with a heirarchy like this:

    Parent
    -- Child
    ---- Child
    ------ Document

The last in the list above, "Document", does not show when I enter it’s alias (i.e. www.domain-name.com/alias.html). I specified the document’s alias, but I’ve got several other documents at this level in different parts of the tree and they’re all doing the same. After the 3rd document down, FURL stops working. Anyone else seen this before and know a fix?

No...my site has several containers with three levels. I see that’s actually 4 levels deep. I just went to my site and set up some dummy pages going 5 levels deep; I tried it using paths/duplicates and without. No problems.

What are your FURL settings? MODx version?

        MODx version: 0.9.6.3
FURL settings: not exactly sure which settings you would like to know more about (the .htaccess is default settings...I’ve only modified the permisssions to 777 to make sure it works, but I haven’t changed anything else on it), but FURL is working great across the site until I drill down this depth.  These are the basic settings I have on:

        -- Use friendly URLs: yes
-- Prefix for friendly URLs: empty
-- Suffix for friendly URLs: .html
        -- Use friendly aliases: yes
-- Use friendly alias path: no
        -- Allow duplicate aliases: no
        -- Automatically generate alias: no

File permissions have nothing to do with this. What actually happens?

Wild shot --> try set Automatically generate alias: yes, maybe if you have docs with empty aliases some error occur... ?
Try with alias path and see if that works...

Shouldn’t; it should just do docID.html if the alias is left empty.

Human error...it’s a project with a big deadline and I started moving too fast. I had put the document’s alias to the right of "Link Attributes" and in my hurry/massive headache, I overlooked the fact that I put the alias in the wrong field. Crisis averted tongue
