    hello there...I have many issues with my site and have no clue...somebody please help me....
    the site is http://www.squeakytheclown.com/.....................
    and now the issues......

    1.if you go nd check tht site........I tried top remove friendly URLs...and still when I click on my second navigation link..ie Squeaky’s show..it displays a friendly URL in the address bar..and when you try to clcik it in again..it shows php?id=2 in the address bar.....

    2. i did hard code in my template <a href="http://www.squeakytheclown.com">for the logo.....but when I clik on it...it shows php?id=1 once and http://www.squeakytheclown.com once.....I don not follow what is happening with my site..

    3. I did not want the quickedit in my pages...so I did disable the module and plug-in and infact now I deleted them completely..but still I see the quickedit in the homepage..and the strangest thing is I am using the same template for all the pages on that site...

    Also I observe that this strange code in the homepage source code but not in others....
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">

    <head>
                   </html><base href=â€￾ />
    		<title>Squeaky the Clown - My MODx Site</title>
    		<meta http-equiv=â€￾Content-Typeâ€￾ content=â€￾text/html; charset=UTF-8â€￾ />
    		<link href="../../assets/templates/default/squeaky.css"  rel="stylesheet" />

    In the first line and also in the other line of head tag......I am struck with no clue of what is happening.....
    i would highly appreciate a quick response....thanks in advance....

      First, are you completely clearing your browser cache? If you aren’t, you may be picking up some residual stuff when viewing the pages.

      Secondly, try clearing the MODx site cache (in the manager, go to Site-->Clear Cache).

      As much as I like deleting plugins I don’t use, i’d recommend just deactivating them for now, especially while you’re learning MODx. It’s possible that your homepage is still be altered by a plugin that you didn’t take out of commission completely.

      I’d recommend that you get your site working with normal urls before trying to launch the friendly URLs. But there is this video about using friendly URLs when you’re ready:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlGiypZZTSw

      Be really careful about hard-coding your urls! It’s a lot better to use the [~1~] type of tags to designate your links. E.g.
      <a href="[~2~]">Squeaky's Show</a>

      Do this even for your homepage, and you’ll cut down on the errors you get from links rendering incorrectly.

      Just to double check... how did you go about deleting your plugins? Please share exactly what you did... it’s possible you missed something.
