What exactly happens if you disable "Log Visits" on a Page?

For each page, there’s the checkbox: Log visits (stats)

If I turn this off, what happens? Fewer database hits... but what stats get lost with this? Is this what drives the "Reports-->Manager Actions"?

I’m trying to cut down server load... I kinda feel like I’m on an airship throwing folding chairs out the open door...

Nothing anymore, unless you have installed a component which uses it. In early versions of MODx, this would indicate whether records in the internal stats tables should be updated when visitors accessed that particular page, but now it is just there for use by 3rd party components.

Ok... good to know. I guess I gotta find something else to through out that open door before this thing crashes into the ocean...
