I’m attempting to use the MooTools Smoothbox for eNews sign-up, filling out forms, etc. but I haven’t been able to get it to work thus far. I think the problem is that there are two "?’s" in the url field when you aren’t using search friendly URL’s. I’m not 100% sure about this though.

Here’s an example of a smoothbox link that I might have:

    Subscribe...

It seems to produce a 404 error even if I’m not signed in as a manager. Is there a different way to use the smoothbox feature without using search friendly URL’s?

    Thanks!

Have you tried replacing the second ? with & that usually works with Javascript ?

Hadn’t tried that and it does solve the whole problem!

          Glad it worked.

            Update:

I developed this site behind a current live site in the root folder, and left the search friendly URL’s off until I launched it (I’ve had problems in the past with the friendly URL’s interfering with the currently posted site when I develop in the root folder).

The point being that after I launched the site, and changed the URL’s to be search friendly you need to change the link call back to using the question mark ("?") not the "&"

Hope this helps anyone out there with this problem in the future.
