best versioning solution for tv,snippets, templates etc

I would like to know if there is a versioning solution for TVs, snippets, etc. At this point I do not care about the documents.

2 days ago a replaced the content of template with the content of a TV and saved :’(. I had to redo the template.

I have a daily mysql backup script so if I mess something up I can load the db on my sandbox and take the template I deleted.

Have a look at the Auditor module, if your system supports it this will do versioning for you.
