i have some doubts i'm newbie

hi

my problem is that MODx install but I can not even handle it well

the anonymous user can not register, leave comments and post to blog post

Is there something I missing?

a little sorry for my English, I speak more Spanish

If you just want a blog, you might want to look at WordPress... it’s built for streamlined blogging. I love MODx, but I don’t recommend it for everyone... it depends on what you want your site to do. Maybe you could tell us more about the site you’re setting up?

Thank you very much

I want to do it as a simple blog with optional commentary

Although I adapted my own scripts then it is very limited wordpress

XOOPS and Drupal and use only that MODx is something different but I’m slowly realizing that the chunk and snippets

I like to see an example of useful chunks

You may also find additional help in the Spanish part of the forum: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/board,35.0.html.

I’ve put together some videos for people to get familiar with MODx...

the concept is more or less the same for every CMS, but MODx (in my opinion) offers the easier way to customize things.

If you want a blog, I usually recommend WordPress... if you want a site that’s got dedicated pages and you need to use multiple templates and write a lot of your own scripts, then MODx is a great way to go. MODx can do blogs, yes, but if that’s all you need for your site, then it might be easier for you to use something like Wordpress...
