    Cant get my newspublisher page to work, it was functional at some point, but not sure why/when it turned bad.

    When i try to post something it tells me: "Missing news content" even though all forms have been filled out, including content.
    In IE7 it tells me the same, also in this browser my content field appears without the tinyMCE editor... that part works in FF.

    In my newspublisher call i have this : "&formtpl=`FormBlog` &rtcontent=`tvblogContent` "
    If i remove these two parameters so i don’t use my tv or formtpl it works.

    My Formblog is taken from some tutorial;
    http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Creating_a_Blog_like_in_the_Default_Content#FormBlog_chunk

    Formblog extract:

    <fieldset>
    <h3>The Content</h3>
    <p>The Summary field is optional, but is used as a short version for RSS feeds and summary views on the main blog page.</p>
    <label for="introtext">Summary (optional, but encouraged):<textarea name="introtext" cols="50" rows="5">[+introtext+]</textarea></label>
    <label for="content">Content:[*tvblogContent*]</label>
    </fieldset>

    My TV, tvblogContent:

    Name: tvblogContent
    caption: tvblogContent
    Description: "blank"
    Input Type:RichText
    Input Option Values:"blank"
    Default Value: "blank"
    Widget: RichText
    Widget Properties: 450x450px, TinyMCE
    The correct templates have been selected.

    If you need any more info to help please tell, ill find it =)
    Thanks

      I got my newspublisher page to work again, problem was with the names, needed to add tv to my newpublishercall and not in the tv.

      Anyways one problem remains, tinyMCE still dose not show in IE, only FF. =/

        There doesn’t seem tot be a closing tag for <label for="content">. Does it make a difference if you put one in?

          Heyya kp! =) there should be a closing tag, this is how it looks in my chunk:

          <label for="content">Content:[*RTContent*]</label>

            Hmm it’s weird i can’t seem to find anyone else using modx with the same problem.. I just tryed upgrading to the newest version of tinyMCE, still no luck.. and it dosent matter where i place [*RTContent*], nothing works.. must be something with the tv or more likely the plugin? But since im the only one i guess it can’t be the plugin...

              this is how it looks in my chunk: <label for="content">Content:[*RTContent*]</label>
              but this is how it looks in the HTML that’s generated (found the closing tag by scrolling down a bit):
              <label for="content">Content:<div class="MODX_RichTextWidget"><textarea id="tvRTContent" name="tvRTContent" style="width:450px; height:450px;"></textarea></div><script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="/uchihaproject/assets/plugins/tinymce3211/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script>
              <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="/uchihaproject/assets/plugins/tinymce3211/xconfig.js"></script>
              <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
              	tinyMCE.init({
              		  theme : "simple",
              		  mode : "exact",
              		  width : "450",
              		  height : "450",
              		  relative_urls : true,
              		  document_base_url : "/uchihaproject/",
              		  remove_script_host : true,
              		  convert_urls : false,
              		  language : "en",
              		  elements : "tvRTContent",
              		  valid_elements : tinymce_valid_elements,
              		  extended_valid_elements : tinymce_extended_valid_elements,
              		  invalid_elements : tinymce_invalid_elements,
              		  entity_encoding : "named",
              		  cleanup: true,
              		  apply_source_formatting : true,
              		  remove_linebreaks : false,
              		  convert_fonts_to_spans : "true",
              		  button_tile_map : false

              	});

              function myCustomOnChangeHandler() {
              	documentDirty = true;
              }
              </script></label>

              It may just be that IE gets a bit confused about things with all that stuff inside the LABEL tag. What happens if you delete the label? If that fixes it, and you want to use a label, I think you should be able to use a self-closing tag, as long as the target named in the for attribute has a matching id attribute. (And it’s an ID rather than a name attribute the target needs). laugh

                Tryed to insert it on a clean page: http://www.norlins.dk/uchihaproject/index.php?id=19 (shows in FF, not IE)

                Anyways downloaded FCKeditor and it works fine in both IE and FF, something i can’t say for tinyMCE..  Its a shame, i don’t like the fckeditor as much =(
