How to: Add javascript to only one page

Quick info:
Latest MODx on Ubuntu with MySQL.

I have a small piece of javascript that I want to add to a page on my site. How do I add that into just that page and not have to edit the site template to put it into the <head>.

The code is very simple and just calls a function for that page.


I was wondering if it were possible to attach a CSS to just this page as well.

The power of MODx is TV’s! Create a textarea [*headEXTRAS*] tv, insert placeholder into template.
Then go to doc and paste your js!

Okay that’s starting to make sense. How do I tell my new TV to put things in the head?
EDIT: oh I get it, drop that into the template.

So if I don’t have anything set for that TV on a particular page then nothing gets dropped into that area?

EDIT2: Now to get it to work. I think Im doing what I want now. Just have to get my javascript to work on MODx. Was working locally and just hosted on my server, something is getting lost.

The only output for this simple tv (w/o widgets and empty) is a new white line.

Things are going where they need to but something is getting in the way with my jQuery script.

The PHx Plugin can do this:

[+phx:if=`[*HeadExtras*]`:is=``:then=``:else=`[*HeadExtras*]`+]

Don’t get what you said about PHx.
I did get things to work! Thanks! I forgot that MODx has its own AJAX
