Hi all,
I’m currently looking to change the software that I’m using for my Personal Blog and I’m considering MODx. I’m intrigued by the concept of a CMS and Framework bundled together. I’m a developer and I’ve been looking for a good PHP framework for some projects and plan on using my personal site as a testbed.
Which version should I use for my site? MODx 0.9.6.3 or MODx Revolution 2.0.0-alpha-6.
How stable is MODx Revolution 2.0.0-alpha-6?
Which would you recommend I use?
Thanks for any help you can provide

Hello,
The 0.9.6 or Evolution branch is the current stable option with the most add-ons. It’s good for most sites with the main limitation being 5,000 documents.
The Revolution branch is a total rewrite from the ground up. If you wanted to use this version download the latest SVN as the alpa6 zip is rather old. I think there should be a Beta release coming out in the near future, but someone else will need to confirm.
In general I would say use the Evolution branch and if you need something in Revolution later you can upgrade.
