Glossary

It will match any child doc based on the title. I just have all the docs I want it to sort under it, but in my case all the files were direct children, to get deeper you need to add the level parameter to ditto and add a filter condition to exclude folders. Let me know how you are going to use it and I can see if we can help configure it (or add any additional function).

EZfaq would put them all in a single document and present them in an accordian. It’s faster to set up and easier to do multiple edits but you might not want a document that long. It will let you put in A to Z links, but you have to do it manually.

I’ll look into EZfaq as well - thanks - I will also do some testing using a single document and some javascript.

I think I got my glossary to work fairly well by just using a single document and some javascript as can be seen here: . what I don’t see however how I could show e.g. a random term with its definition on the front page. if somebody has an idea how to achieve this, please let me know.

The URL you gave us in on "localhost" so we can’t see the site without coming to your house.

If the defs are each on a page, pulling a random one for display is a fairly trivial task with Ditto. It will be tricky to do with them all on one page, though. It would probably take a custom snippet.

If you could post the raw text of part of your document page, I might be able to get you started.

How did you make the A-Z listing? Is there a way to grey out letters in the A-Z listing that don’t have entries in the glossary? Btw, in my browser, FF3, clicking on some of the letters, e.g. "Q" doesn’t take me to its entries. Maybe its just my browser..
