If the structure of the database was not saved during the database backup in phpMyAdmin and you have to restore all the tables, the solution is to use the second installation option in MODx setup. This creates all the tables again. Choose to reinstall none of the components. Then, import your database archive with phpMyAdmin. This fills all the tables as expected. I hope this will help others.

I did a big error when migrating my site and need some advice.

I observed that phpMyAdmin on the remote host could not import the database of the MODx site if the "Structure" checkbox was checked when exporting. This also means that I cannot use the "drop if exist" option.

As the structure cannot be exported, the tables must be defined on the remote host before I can import data into them. Of course, I have to empty their content to avoid "duplicate entry" errors.
So, I wanted to delete the table content on the remote site but confused when running some of my SQL scripts and dropped all the tables of my local site !

By chance, I still have a backup of my database, but without the structure defined. So, phpMyAdmin is unable to import the content of my tables. I could make a full reinstall of MODx to recreate the table structure, but then I will have the problem of duplicate entries, as the "drop if exist" was not checked during the backup.

(...) Does someone have idea what to do in such case ?
