Please could advise if this is a known bug, or I have done something wrong.
I wish to change the order of the documents in a folder. I have changed the menu index using both the Doc Manager and through the document edit. The new values are displayed as being changed, but the new order is not reflected in the output menu or when I try to sort the tree.
I have tried clearing both the MODx cache and my browser cache, and also refreshing the tree list.
Edited to add details:
WAMP2 - Apache 2.28/PHP 5.2.6
XP/Firefox 3.08
The project is very basic so far, and only includes a few template variables.
Thanks Lammikko.
Yep, I have 5.0.51. I downloaded the 5.1.32 add-on from the Wampserver website, but when I switch version I can no longer access my MODx site, so I guess I’m stuck developing with 5.0.51. It’s no biggy though - I can make the necessary changes when I upload the site to the client’s server (fingers crossed they don’t have the dodgy version).
I’ve never had any issues with WAMP before - I’m just using an outdated version I guess. I’ll take a look at XAMPP though - as far as I understand it, the only difference is the inclusion of Perl?
Am not sure about the differences. Used to prefer WAMP too - especially coz of the ability to access one’s projects from one "home" page. The MySQL made me revert back to XAMPP.
Everything’s working OK now. I’ve managed to get the 5.1.32 add-on working - I had to set my current MySQL password for the new version, and then import the database from the old version.
Also, thanks a lot for the Wayfinder guide kongondo - I’ve skimmed through it, and don’t understand most of it at the moment, but I’m sure it will be very useful.
