URL Template Variable not working for me.

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone could possibly check if I was doing something obviously wrong.

I’ve set up a  URL type template variable:

Template access has been given to the required template.

I then include the following in the template:


(The *current_issue_text* variable works fine btw)

Then from the front-end quick edit I select the variable, choose the http:// from the drop down,  enter a URL (www.google.co.uk for example), and apply it.

The link at the bottom of Firefox is being shown as http:/// (three slashes)

Viewing the page source shows:



I’ve also tried clearing the cache, and have also tried using the hyperlink widget.

Any help would be really appreciated.

XP/Firefox 3.08

The project is very basic so far, and only includes a few template variables.

OK, problem solved - I’m using the Text template variable instead.

Did you also use the hyperlink widget? Use text if you want just the url output!?
I couldn’t reproduce your error!! Ahh! You didn’t use _http://_

mrhaw, if you had read my posts you would have seen that I had already tried all those suggestions and am now using the text option. Thanks for taking the time to try and help anyway.
