Twitter and Modx?

Hi all,
Is there either available (i cant find it ) or in the works a pluggin that is like the one for Wordpress Twitter for Wordpress http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-for-wordpress/ that is the same as this, when i add a new page or news article it would then automaticly post to twitter with shortened url?

I dot think that there is anything readily available yet. You can use a service like TwitterFeed and have a feed from your site to tell it when a new post is published.

this might help as a stop gap but doesn’t quite have the automation i need, i have tested out the wordpress plug-in and it works a charm nice and easy, thanks for the heads up tho.

I just really like the simpleness when an article or page is published it send a tweet at the same time no messing with other programs/ apps

It should be pretty easy to create a plugin that tweets automatically on document publish. There are plenty of php tweeter libraries out there or since the tweeter posting API is pretty simple you could do it directly, something like this.

Hope so as im not PHP fluent, would be a great plug-in tho, will have a look at the link you sent to see if i can work something out.

Well, I saw this and thought it wouldn’t be to hard to write, so here you go:

Let me know if this works for you.

Nice work

@kylej It’s people like you that make modX the best cms platform to work with, I still cant believe that the was done so quickly and it works great...amazing!!!
