I’m trying to find the best way to go about doing this:

A page that has a "table" of 15 or more companies (rows), and two or three columns of info (name + URL, CEO + contact info, general info; a couple rows of text) for each company. Each row is its own div with three divs inside with the info.

Now, thats not the hard part wink, what I’m having trouble with is the fact that users should be able to update this info easily like they update basic text content within the site ([*content*] etc..). I don’t want to display 40+ TV-RichText fields to them on one page, as you probably understand.. But I don’t want to give them too much control either. I’d like to see them have named fields ("Company #1: CEO + contact info", "Company #4: General info") in which they can enter RichText.

So, anyone have any ideas how to go about doing this? I have these vague ideas about chunks and TVs and PHP and what not, but right now I can’t seem to make any sense of any of this. Any help is appreciated!

Make a map with documents for every company and let ditto show that on one page. Then create the template variables and assign them to the documents in the map (by using a different template).

That way the user can look up the company and change the information for just that company, so the user doesn’t have to scroll through all template variables in 1 document.
        with regards,

Thanks for your help. I’m a total newbie with ditto though, would you mind being a bit more precise?

As far as I understood it it (very basically) goes like this:
        - I make a document for each company and include the info in TVs
        - I get Ditto to show the documents in one template (= one page)

        Thanks again.
