TV & Chunks

Hello

I need to be clarified in a quick question.

I´m using a TV with a default value associated to a specific template. i´m using that template in a lot of webpages. What´s happening is, when i do some changes in that TV, don´t update all the documents that use it.

I tried another solution, that was create a chunk with the required code and insert this chunk inside of my TV. And it work... just update all the documents using that TV.

My question is: is this the correct way to work with TV / chunks?

Are you clearing the cache after you update the value? Did you manually override the value in the templates that aren’t changing, even just adding a space character?

Yes, i am clearing the cache after update the default value, and off course i didn´t override manually the default value of the TV.

That´s why i think this is weird.

What´s happening is, when i do some changes in that TV, don´t update all the documents that use it.

I think that the default value when using text TVs gets recorded rather than referenced (I may be wrong) so if you change the default value it will not alter the existing documents values unless you edit the page again.I tested this theory and it is not true, default values are not recorded on each document, they are referenced.

So do you think the way that i solved the problem is correct? I mean insert a chunk inside of a TV?

Well unless i know that if i update the chunk this will update all the documents that use that TV with this chunk...
