    Hello,

I am having a hell of a time understanding how to create blog posts/update posts in Modx, which is wierd because everything else has been really really easy and awesome. I’ve tried reading the documentations and stuff but I don’t understand how it works. I’m just looking for a site updates type deal. I apologize for my incompetence in understanding how this feature works and thanks ahead of time!

The standard way to create bog post is to use the Manager, this is what I prefer. Why mess with a private front-end solutions when the manager already does it for you. To keep it easy I can add a shortcut link directly on the manager home page and it is a 1 click process. There is a wiki post on personalizing the manager: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Customizing_the_Manager_Homepage

However, some people require the ability to add posts via the front end. There are a few snippets that can handle the input form (newsPublisher and FDM). I don’t have much experience with either.
