The creation of a modx newsblog

I’m a fairly new modx user, so any advice must be very precise and descriptive.
So far my modx site has the following:
    • A working template with my design
    • A working menu with submenus, using the wayfinder snippet

My next daring adventure into the world of modx will be the creation of a newsblog. My goal is to create a blog where various persons (that I decide on) can log in using a web-login, and create news articles. A bonus feature would be the option to include images in the articles.
I’m not sure where to start, so if a friendly person could point me in the right direction or give me some help I would appreciate it!

You can see my site here: http://www.norlins.dk/uchihaproject/
And log in to manager with: Username: user Password: helpme

EDIT: I have been thinking about using wordpress, but then i need to integrate wordpress with modx so that my menu stays the same.

EDIT: If you log into the site don’t get confused by my mess. I have tried various things so there are a lot of chunks I don’t know a lot about, and even pages. Hehe.

    In advance, thanks.

You could use MODx to build the blog. There are some good examples of modx driven blogs around. The ability to allow web users to include images via the resource browser has added recently (not sure which release). By default it is disabled but can be enablesd in the manager site settings panel. Then you could use newspublisher to allow web users to include articles.

I recently saw a discussion where the developer had created a ’bridge’ for using WP for blogs, but I can’t remember where I saw this.

Also look at the blog in the demo site since it uses weblogin to manage who can post and uses news publisher to add posts via the front-end.
