On editing a page, when I went to save it I was given this error...

    « MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« Execution of a query to the database failed - Incorrect key file for table ’./kathleen_modx/modx_site_content.MYI’; try to repair it »

Followed by the content of the page.

I tried to re-edit several times and can not. Also tried to move it and wasnt able to either. I ended up copying the content and pasting it into a new document and it seems to be fine now, but I dont know what happened or how to avoid it in the future?

It also says to try and repair it, but I dont know how to go about doing that either. Im using v9.6.3 on a new site.

This is MYSQL telling you that the table has been damaged/corrupted somehow and it needs to be repaired. It’s not a MODx problem per se.

You can do this through tools such as phpMyAdmin or the MYSQL CLI client.

If you are unsure here ask your service provider first, show them the error, they may do this for you. This is not a difficult thing to do, however please make sure you have a database backup before you do this, just in case.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!
