    Hi Folks,

    I’m getting this message when I log into Modx in the manager on a site I’m developing for a client..Configuration warning: ’register_globals is set to ON in your php.ini configuration file’

    I asked the web hosting company to set ’register_globals’ to OFF, which they have done - I know this because I can check in phpinfo.php.

    Despite this, I’m still getting the message....any ideas?

    thanks

    Danny

      Perhaps you have additional an php.ini file that is overriding the host’s setting? You could make a page including
      <?php
      phpinfo(INFO_GENERAL);
      ?>

      to check your php.ini file’s location.

      In the first block of phpinfo() output my host supplies in my control panel, I also see the search path for additional ini files as "Configuration File (php.ini) Path", "Scan this dir for additional .ini files" and "additional .ini files parsed".
      cool

          Just realised that since my Modx installation is in a subdirectory then I needed to put a file called php.ini with ’register_globals Off’ in the main subfolder, assets folder, manager folder as well as the website root.
