Hey,
I am a little lost as to how to solve the following issue:
My site www.adrianlawley.com stopped being indexed by search engines a while back. After finally finding the time to find out why it would appear that although the site is being displayed for a user, visiting it from somewhere like w3schools (or google webmaster tools) gives me a 500 Internal error like
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.adrianlawley.com/
I noticed that I am still using 0.9.5.
I presumed the error to be with my Providers DNS, but they assure me that that is not the case.
Does anybody have any idea how I could commence Error finding?
Thanks for your time,
Taff

Hey sharkbait,
thanks for the reply, and finding that link.
I actually deleted the search engine plugin completely but to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea where else I could look?
Thanks,
Taff

hey ganeshXL,
long time no speak.
I did indeed clear the cache. I also asked my provider if they had changed anything, to which they (obviously) said no, and apparently can trace it back to the CMS.
I’ll do some reading, and probably just upgrade to 0.9.6.
If all goes well that should probably take less time in the long run.
Thanks,
Taff
PS Still doing stuff for ZGDA?

The solution was that I had the FileDownloadPlugin installed and that was causing the problems.
As to the Portfolio page, yeah, most of the stuff I do for them gets thrown up. My "real" mostly entails admin areas and Intranet...can’t really link to those. I’m glad you are enjoying working with them, and glad you answered my post back then when I was looking for someone to lighten my load, good bunch of lads, shame I’m snowed under atm. The jobs were quite interesting.
I really need to update my site and add the odd blog post here and there. If this global warming made the days longer, I doubt anybody would whinge.
All the best,
Taff

Were you using FileDownloadPlugin or FileDownloadPE?
FileDownloadPlugin, from a long time back. I think it accompanied FileDownload. FileDownloadPE would be my choice nowadays...when and if I need to offer downloads to registered members.
Cheers,
Taff
