    Hello gentle readers,

I’ve grown the habit of using UTF-8 for mostly anything these days. But when using QuickEdit (possibly as a result from tinyMCE?) my swedish characters are entered as HTML-entities or whatever they’re called. To me, this seems to beat the purpose of using UTF-8 in the first place. Is is possible to have TinyMCE save them as is, instead of converting them all the time?

update: I’m 99% sure this is a TinyMCE issue. When I choose "none" as the editor to use for a page, characters are left untransformed. The question is now: how can I disable this unwanted transformation when using TinyMCE?

      Hi,

go to manager -> Resources -> manage resources -> plugins -> TinyMCE -> configuration -> set "Entity Encoding" to raw

As far as I know you really need the entities encoding to be sure that everyone can show the special characters in their browser.
          with regards,
