[(base_url)] and backslashes

- Snippets output links with --> href="/assets/images/foo.gif" backslash
//Which is not needed when using base href element!

- TinyMCE runs within doubble backslash urls like this: www.foo.com//...

Would it be smart to try hack the snippets to get rid off the backslashes?

It would certainly make the snippets in question more portable. Snippets should generate all links so that [(base_url)] would never be needed in your templates, and IMO, links should always be output relatively, not as absolute to the document root of the web server. +1 for getting the snippets in question updated.
