I have a client who writes sort of a blog. In essense it’s just a document where he manually adds an entry with date and so by adding text to the [*content*]
The reason why I did not make a blog-function was because I did the site three years after he started the original blog where he had used MS Frontpage to just add content to the same html document. And thus I would just copy the text from the html document and paste it into the document content in modx...
Every time he makes a new entry, it is added to the top of the document..
Since we’re talking 20-50 lines of text for about 280 days this adds up to alot of characters.... and we just found out a lot of the text at the bottom of the document is lost..
Is this because there is a limit as to how many characters the db can hold in one field?
Is there an easy guide to how you make a blog ind modx? I think i need to make this function for future entries in his blog..
