Hi, I really wanted to try and get this working by searching on the forum for a solution but having spent a lifetime reading through posts about this I still cannot get it to work.
I went through the Friendly URLs Guide and got to the "Friendly urls with mod_rewrite (dropping the ?query string and using ONLY the alias)" stage and that is where I am having a problem. According to the document there isn’t too much to it, however it just won’t work. I’ve set the configuration correctly and renamed the htaccess files but just getting page cannot be displayed.
Any suggestions?
