Migrate from Joomla?

Hi all,

I am planning on moving a website from Joomla to MODx. What would be the easiest way to migrate all of the content?

Is there someway I can convert / import the database?

Thanks,
Matt

The mother of all SQL statements

Never worked with Joomla....but I imagineif you dump your joomla content table to an sql file, and then import this file into your MODX DB.
You could then write SQL to SELECT the content you need and INSERT it directly into the MODx content table in your MODx DB. It would then be a matter of applying templates to style your content accordingly.

I’d be about 90% sure someone on this forum has already done this and might be able to help more....

Thanks jusmeig.

My knowledge of SQL is quite limited. It would be really helpful if someone how has already done this could give me some tips and examples.

Regards,
Matt
