I have made a menu with wayfinder using this tutorial:

    http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/wayfinder/examples/example-2.html

Problem: My index is a subfolder with articles that functions as a news blog, i don’t want these articles to show in the menu. I know you can unclick the option "show in menu" when creating the article, but i want this to be done automatic. So when my client makes a new document under index he dosen’t have to unclick the option. Is this possible?

    Thanks

    :)

You can use the ManagerManager plugin to control the default values of document variables.

For example, to disable the "Show in menu" option you could could set up a rule:
mm_default('hide_menu' , true); // Set the 'Show in menu' option to false for all new documents

      or:
mm_default('show_in_menu' , false); // Set the 'Show in menu' option to false for all new documents

If you don’t want that to apply to all new documents, you can apply the rule to specific templates.
