So I’ve been seeing this happen on my sites lately. The client will go to a document, go to Template Variables and upload an image or file and when they click "Insert", the dialog box that pops up is empty...all the folders are gone and they can’t upload their file.
So I looked at the files and directories on the server and went to Manager >> media >> browser >> mcpuk >> connectors and in the "connectors" directory, ALL the files are gone. I uploaded them again and I came back today and they were all gone again. This has happened on a number of sites here lately. One of the sites is using MODx version 0.9.6.1p2 and the other site is using 0.9.6.3 and they’re both on different servers. On the site using 0.9.6.1p2 I uploaded the files into that directory last night, and the client emails me this morning telling me they can’t upload any files (b/c all the files are gone from the "connectors" directory again). At first I thought it was a server issue, but they’re on 2 different servers. Am I setting some type of permissions wrong or is there something I should be aware of?

Wow, that is a strange and scary bug. Never had it happen to me.

If you search these forums you will see lots of posts about this issue. I understand its an issue with the resource browser...and its happened to me before. To fix it I had to upload the files for the resource browser again, that seemed to fix it.
I think it was logged as a bug, however the new MOdx uses a different resource browser...so this issue SHOULD go away
I’ve uploaded the resource browser again and it did suddenly disappear again shortly afterwards.
When you say the new MODx, are you referring to the newest download, version 0.9.6.3? I’m using that version on the one site I refer to below and it’s having the same problem...or are you referring to one the MODx versions that’s in development still?
I’ll do a little more searching around the forums...what phrases did you search for specifically?
