Cannot save a snippet from the manager

I have uploaded a site from my local machine to my shared hosting.

Everything works fine except that when I try to edit and then save a large snippet from the manager, the save fails and the frame where the snippet editor was shows the site home page (a bit like Site->Preview, but just in that frame). Tried in both Opera 9 and Firefox 3.

This only happens on the shared hosting.

Anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas?

Modx 0.9.6.2
Local machine: Linux, Apache 2, PHP5, MySQL5
Shared hosting: Linux, Apache 1.3.41, PHP5, MySQL5

thanks,

Looks like it may be mod-security related. Read this from the wiki for some insight:

Something is happening here, but you don't know what it is.
