I have a quick question...
I have one site on a Hostgator account. Within this account I have several add-on domains with the active site folders contained within.
The parent site is a static site that includes a working Wordpress blog install. I want to dump this parent static site and the Wordpress blog and replace it with a new MODx site. I also want to leave the other add-on domain sites just the way they are.
So the question: is it OK to log in with my FTP client and dump the old static site files and the entire Wordpress folder and then put the MODx archive folder in their place to install the new MODx version of this site? Any issues that I should know about? I will also have to create a new database for the MODx install. Might as well delete the Wordpress database while I in there?
Thanks,
Max
