In an attempt to get the TinyMCE to work I deleted the manager folder via FTP and transfered first the manager files back. Then I couldn’t do an upgrade installation. I copied then all the modx 0.9.6.3. files to the web server, but I still can’t do an upgrade installation. I’m afraid to loose all my data on the site, so I don’t dare to do a new installation. embarrassed

Can someone please help me out here? Is there any file I need to configure or change?

sounds like you removed the config.inc.php (under manager/includes/config.inc.php). As all your data will be stored in the database you shouldn’t lose anything. If you check to see if the install directory was also uploaded (located in the root modx directory /install) you should be able to install modx from here.

      Install url: dmainname.com/modxdirectory/install/

      Hope this helps smiley

That was the thing. I renamed the config.inc.php.blank file, and was able to do an advanced upgrade. I just forgot to make a backup of the config-file.

        Thanks for reminding me. laugh
